i've got a aw8max mobo and i'm trying to use the si3132 raid
controller. first of all, if i have it configured in the bios to be
IDE, windows doesn't boot, and if i specify raid, (windows boots and i
can configure a jbod for the one disk i have connected) after a standby
cycle, the whole raid controller doesn't seem to be recognized. all
access to the disk that's on that controller hangs. a reboot is
required before the drive is visible again.

i'm running bios 19 for the aw8max, and driver version 1231 from abit's
website. has anybody else had standby problems with the si3132 on
their aw8max or other abit mobo?
